Summer Festivals
30 Jul 2022
Been quite busy touring w Walter Trout, and filling in for the last two shows with Robert Jon & The Wreck. Got to play Bospop twice! We also played Grolloo and Sweden Rock with Walter, followed by a UK tour. Did two shows at the Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon, with Walter, and with Bernie Marsden. I even got to do two shows with the Danish rockstar Jesper Binzer. We are back at work!
The rest of the summer is filled with festivals everywhere, a weekend of shows with Bernard Allison, and at the end of august the Bonamassa Mediterranean Cruise departing from Athens.
Robert Jon & The Wreck
02 May 2022
Filling in for the great Steve Maggiora with Robert Jon & The Wreck has been a blast so far. Only 4 shows it's feeling really good, couple of sold out shows already. Looking forward to the rest until Steve is back on the 13th of May. Check the gig list on my Shows page.
On Tour with Walter Trout
07 Sep 2021
Being on tour with Walter has been such a pleasure. Nothing but joy on and off the stage. We've got a few more shows left in Germany and Denmark. Couple of off days now to recharge so I have some time to share a few pics from the Dutch shows, made by the great Dirk van der Linden of DCH Photography.
Actual shows
22 Jul 2021
Actual shows in the calendar, and not only that, but with legends Walter Trout, and Jesper Binzer. Check out the calendar section for more information.
Small updates
29 Apr 2021
Small updates to the Media section, the gear section, and there's a Lessons section too now. Read all about the teaching i've done and am doing, and get in touch if you're interested!
Been a while
25 Feb 2021
Well, not been updating much. Shows and tours are basically on hold until Covid is behind us... I have been active with a few things though.
I've started more online teaching, via Zoom, with students in the USA, the Netherlands, the UK and even South Africa. Check out the video at the bottom of this page if you want more info
Other than that I've been recording and mixing for Bernie Marsden (UFO, Whitesnake), and working on new material for Sari Schorr. And a new piano in the shape of a very rare Yamaha CP60M - very excited about that.
Corona virus update
16 March 2020
Unfortunately Joanne Shaw Taylor's UK tour has had to be pulled/postponed, in order for us to get home before every country goes on lock down. This leaves me with a lot of unexpected free time on my hands and, like a lot of other musicians, lack of income.
In the meantime, why not turn this into something positive? If we're all stuck at home let's turn this into an experience where we can all learn, or benefit. I'm aiming to expand my Skype lesson practice asap . In case you wonder how that goes: we both have our Skype on, both sitting behind our respective instruments. We'll focus our lessons and conversation on topics YOU want to learn more about - this can be Hammond organ techniques, theory, chords, learning how to play or improve solo's etc etc.
No need to know how to read music or have an in depth theoretical knowledge. It's music after all. Bring your ears, and motivation and we can go wherever we want making the necessary steps along the way.
I'm also keen to do more work on writing and remote recording so please feel free to get in touch about this. My rates are flexible, or even zero if we can do something worthwhile for each other, I know a lot of my friends are also very capable at recording so maybe we can do something for each other this way.
Just trying to stay busy, stay creative, and make the most of this difficult situation.
I am also looking to expand on my build project for the Behringer Model D. As you can see in the pics I've made a wooden case plus midi keyboard for the Model D and I'm now open to take orders and make a bunch of these for people. It's something I can do from home and the more orders come in, the cheaper I can make them. I'd like to work as much as possible in all this so hit me up :)
Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea VI
25 Feb 2020
Had an amazing time on the Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea VI cruise. Many thanks to Joanne Shaw Taylor for having me play keys, Sixthman and Joe Bonamassa for the flawless organization. Amazing line-up, late night jams and hangs, food & drinks, a day in the Bahamas and much much more. Thanks to Steve Maggiora for the pics, go check his band: Robert Jon & The Wreck
Bernie Marsden
05 Feb 2020
Did three shows with Bernie Marsden this month and it was a blast. Skegness, London and Minehead. All over the UK but fun. Even had a special guest in London in the form of Joe Bonamassa with a very special guitar. Good fun. Here's a few pics:

USA, the Med Blues Cruise & The Great British R&B Festival
08 Sep 2019
Lot happened since the last update. We did shows in Milwaukee and Duluth with Joanne Shaw Taylor, and got to join Joe Bonamassa and a ton of artists on the first 'Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean' cruise. We went from Barcelona to Monte Carlo, Malta & back. Other artists on the cruise were: Peter Frampton, Larkin Poe, Eric Gales, Eric Bibb, Bernie Marsden, Curtis Harding, Philip Sayce, King King, Ryan McGarvey, Toronzo Cannon, Jerron ‘Blind Boy’ Paxton & Robert Jon & The Wreck. An incredible trip!.
After a few days home I got to join Ash Wilson again at the The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival in Colne, UK followed by a second show that day with Sari Schorr. It felt good to be back with them.
At the moment some down time before I join Sari again for a Scandinavian run, and some news for November that I can't disclose just yet. Looking forward to that though.

The year is coming to an end. I've updated the gig list with what I know right now for next year. A cool show in London with Sari Schorr, Sharrie Williams, and others. A big tour with Joanne all over Europe. And more stuff announced soon.

UK & Japan, and new album
Sep 21, 2018
Updated the show section of my site again, with the rest of the October dates added, and the stuff in Europe with Sari Schorr in November.
Getting quite excited about going to Japan at the end of October. I mean, it's Japan! Never been so very much looking forward to it!
At the moment I'm touring the UK with Sari, and then straight to a tour with Joanne Shaw Taylor. Sari's new album is for sale at gigs now, and officially released on the 5th of October. Meanwhile I know Joanne is working on stuff too so keep an eye out for that!
My new studio is looking and feeling amazing too, with everything plugged in ready to record at all times. Been working on some of my own stuff, and recording for some friends. Please get in touch if you're in need of keys on your album or songs. I can record everything at the highest quality and send it over. Let me know what your needs are and we can talk.
Festivals
July 08, 2018
It's a nice festival summer so far. Crazy amount of travelling but great gigs on great locations as a reward. Played in Vienne, France with Joanne just last week. Opening up for Jeff Beck in an ancient French amphitheatre. Beautiful spot and to be able to talk with Vinnie Colaiuta and see Jeff Beck play was quite the experience.
Just got back today from playing in Skanevik, Norway, and the Linton Festival with Sari Schorr. Crazy amount of flights, but man Norway is stunning, and a great festival to play with a great line-up. Off to Hyde Park now.
Be sure to check in on Instagram and Facebook for more pics and updates. New gigs are announced soon!
Wow, and that was Grolloo
June 10, 2018
Or I should say, the Holland International Blues Festival. With a killer line-up on day one of: Jeff Beck, Ringo Starr and Walter Trout, and me with Joanne Shaw Taylor on day two which also saw the Marcus King Band, Laurence Jones and Joe Bonamassa (who might be called Joe Bonanza forever now).
It was great to see 13.000 people come out to the little legendary town of Grolloo, and see the bands, who btw were treated royally by the festival organisation. Hats of to Jan Lagendijk and Harry Derksen (among many others). Here's a few pics, and more can be found on instagram.
Wow, and that was the RAH
May 17, 2018
Well, that was the Royal Albert Hall last night! The last show on a nice little run with Joanne Shaw Taylor, opening up for Foreigner.
It's been absolutely great in so many ways, and looking forward to doing more shows with Joanne. Everybody on the Foreigner crew and band were the nicest people, and so professional. Amazing experience!
Happy Easter

Also worked on my Hammond XK-5 to come as close as possible to my old and awesome Hammond B3 and you can hear the result here: youtube
If you like the sound you can download the setup files for your own XK-5 here
